Everything, All The Time

In a world that’s filled with the availability of everything, all the time, there is no peace, no spare time, and no availability to hear God’s still, small voice (1 Kings 19:11-12).

We are conquered by the world, the same exact world Jesus speaks of in 1 John 2:15 when He says “If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

A world where there’s about one murder a day in the Georgia Prison System.

A world where “cash is king” and “finesse” is the norm.

A world where Satan rules supreme…

All by distraction…

Money

Possessions

Addictions

Fear

But God says that we are not given a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Wait, What!?

Let’s dig deeper…

The word power here (in the original Greek) is Dunamis and Dunamis signifies divine, miraculous strength and spiritual enlightenment.

While “sound mind” sophronismos means self-control, discipline, and wise judgement.

All which contrast directly with fear…

Wow! And make no mistake, we need this empowerment to overcome the world and the things of the world, for without this poer there is no:

Peace

Enlightenment

Courage

or

Faith

So as we embark in the day, let us pray always to ensure that we stay plugged into our Power Source (James 4:8) for the enemy still walks around as a roaring lion seeking who he may devour (1 Peter 5:8) and don’t forget that shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16).

Be blessed Church!

I love y’all!
