BE PATIENT

What’s up Church!?

Man it’s a great day to be alive!

As King’s and Priests and representatives of the Kingdom of God we ought to be excited from day to day to live out our new identities in Christ as we receive glory through His ultimate sacrifice for us, opening the door to all things we desire in Him; freedom from sin, encouragement, power, enlightenment and so much more!

Let’s admit it, our lives were a wreck before accepting Christ into our hearts but now we are confident, placing our faith in Him, that ALL things work together for our good (Romans 8:28) and that He will supply all of our needs according to His riches and glory (Philippians 4:19).

So now, we may ask “well, if all of my needs are provided, then why do I feel like I’m still in need?” and the answer is 2 fold…

  1. We must be patient and persevere as God cultivates our hearts to receive our blessings in due time, remember the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) and the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32).
  2. We must realize that the question “why” is a low emotional response to something, whether it be our environment, mind set or our self image.

What do I mean?

Well, people are always in what’s referred to as a “state”, this state is either high emotional or low emotional. And the truth is, if we’re constantly in a low emotional state, we can never expect to receive the ultimate blessings of God because God is love (1 John 4:8) and love is the highest emotion. There can be no communion between light and darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Simply put, low emotions such as fear, anger, confusion, depression, etc. cause us to ask “why” — “Why did this happen to me, or why am I so lonely?” Whereas a high emotional person who embodies the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) will always ask “how” — “How can I be a better person, or how can I overcome being so lonely?”

Again, be patient as God is cultivating our hearts and minds, transforming us (Romans 12:2) into His likeness.

Do you not know that you are the temple of the Living God (1 Corinthians 3:16)?

Do you not know that you are the Church (Ephesians 2:19-22), not some building or room?

Do you not know that faith without works is dead (James 2:26)?

Let your lights shine for Him as you practice self-control and overcome your environment, knowing that His calling is taking place in your lives each and every day.

We are a chosen people (1 Peter 2:9) and God is not mocked, we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7).

So begin to sow seeds of encouragement, understanding, patience and glory, for those are the blessings that we will receive in return.

But beware, for if we sow seeds of anger, strife, bitterness and the like, we will also reap those fruits in our lives.

Continue to think on these things (Philippians 4:8) and I promise you that you will see true change take place in your lives and those lives around you.

Be blessed Church! Love ya’ll!

Apostle K
